Sad to be empty, making the most of the chance to get to work ...

It feels really odd to be on our own at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges. We have been completely full since we took over in July, but as you know we had to close due to the lockdown on November 2nd and we have been all alone since then. We miss our guests! We can't wait to welcome you back again once we re-open on December 4th.

In the meantime we have been making the most of the time to get stuck into a few jobs which needed doing. As you can imagine it is quite difficult to get to work when we are full as we don't want to disturb the peace and tranquility!

So what have we been doing? Well, to start with trimming the trees, bushes and reeds, many of which had become quite overgrown and needed a haircut. We have been working on the roads and areas around the lodges, which can become quite boggy in places when it has been rainy. We have had the professionals in to update our annual electrical certificates and fire safety equipment, and you will be reassured to know that Sarah has taken the opportunity to do a three day first aid course, just in case. Finally, we are doing some work on the decks which are in need of some love in terms of pressure washing and re-sealing with anti-slip coating.

Oh, and of course we will be dressing the lodges and the site in preparation for Christmas with decorations and trees, to make them look fabulously festive!

Incidentally we still have a few dates left in December, so take a look at the "Book Your Lodge" section of the website if you fancy a break, we'd be glad to see you - with Xmas bells on!
