Whats included

What is included in the price of your stay

When comparing the prices of different types of holiday accommodation it is often difficult to compare like for like; we have a policy of no hidden charges and we provide a lot of extras within our price that other places do not offer or charge extra for; we describe these below.

Champagne and chocolates

Champagne and chocolates will be waiting in your lodge on arrival.

Welcome hamper

Some self catering holiday accommodation may consider a sachet of coffee and a tea bag an ideal way to welcome you; we don't so we provide you with much more. Wine, tea, coffee, bacon, eggs, milk, bread, breakfast cereal, baked beans, sugar and a lot more are provided for every booking. Other hampers can be ordered at a reasonable charge; a Romance for Two Hamper, an Anniversary Hamper and a Fruit Hamper; more details about these are shown on the "extras" page of this website.

Some holiday settings may offer a communal hot tub; however each of our lodges is graded 4* and has its own 4 person outdoor hot tub for your exclusive use during your stay. Each lodge has 2 bedrooms so why not come with friends and share the cost of your holiday.

Free fishing

We make no extra charge for residents who want to fish. Fish include carp (up to 20lb in weight) tench, perch, rudd and roach. Fishing is permitted throughout the year. Please bring your rod licence but if you don’t have one we buy an annual Rod Licence for the site so you will be covered by it.

Free internet access

There is wireless internet access in each lodge; bring your laptop.

Free DVD hire

We offer free DVD hire and the village shop also hires DVDs for a small charge. Each lodge has a TV and DVD player with Freeview TV.

Free bicycle hire

We have 2 cycles that you can borrow as well as local Ordnance Survey maps. The local area is ideal for cycling; bring your own helmet and lights if required.

A Gas BBQ

on the veranda of each lodge is provided at no extra charge.

All electric

is included which is used for heating, hot water and cooking. All bed linen, hand towels, bath towels, towels for the hot tub, dressing gowns and slippers are provided as well as tea towels, oven glove, apron etc.

Detergents

are provided for use with the dishwasher and washer/dryer that are in each lodge.

Toiletries.

Complimentary miniatures of shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and hand soap are provided.

Steam shower

All lodges have a steam unit (and radio) in the shower so you can sit, relax and have a leisurely time to yourself; after all you will be on holiday!

Finally

if you are still undecided if you want to stay at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges think about this: in 2007 The Guardian newspaper featured us in an article "25 brilliant places to stay in Britain" and we were the only UK entry in The Sunday Telegraph article where they wrote about what they described as "The worlds best over water resorts." We were recognised as one of the top 3 self catering establishments in Suffolk in the Suffolk in Tourism Awards 2008.
